HR Assistant

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, humanitarian, non-governmental organisation providing assistance to people in need as a result of natural and man-made disasters, irrespective of race, religion, ideology or politics. 

  

We are seeking to employ a candidate for the following position: 

HR Assistant 

Place of work: Baghdad 

Deadline for application: 11 June 2026 

Contract: Part time (4 hours per day) – 6 month

 

Main purpose of the job: 

Carry out administrative, human resources, and legal support activities in accordance with organizational policies and local regulations, under the guidance of the Personnel Administration Manager, to ensure compliance, support staff needs, and contribute to the effective achievement of project objectives. 

 

Accountabilities:  

• Under supervision of the Personnel Administration Manager manage personal files to ensure accuracy, compliance and on time payments.

• Updating the HR database and personal files to facilitate HR processes management.

• Updating Social security & Tax office files to meet legal requirements including specific amendments, when necessary, to ensure local labor and fiscal law compliance

• Preparing employment contracts in conformity with legal requirements including specific amendments, when necessary, to ensure local labor and fiscal law compliance.

• Preparing monthly pay slips for all staff, editing and updating the necessary data, to ensure the punctuality and accuracy of staff payroll.

• Following up all expiring rental contract dates and informing the Administration Manager to ensure management of renewal or alternative contracts.

• Making all administrative information available to the staff (posting, meetings, etc.), supporting the Project HR Manager in translating documents into local language and assisting in meetings upon request.

• Additional HR/ Admin tasks delegated by the Project HR Manager as required.

Education	Desirable finance, business, administration or HR related diploma.
Experience	Essential previous working experience of at least two years in relevant jobs. Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries.
Languages	Essential requirement for professional Arabic and English
Knowledge	Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
