Salary:
HR Assistant Administrator – UH4 £25,742 pa with potential to progress to UH 5 £27,181 on achieving designated skills and experience.
HR Administrator – UH5 £27,181 with potential to progress to £30,487 by annual increments.
Location: Bishops Square, Hatfield

We are seeking to appoint Human Resources Administrators to work in our fast-paced and challenging HR environment within the welcoming and supportive Recruitment Salaried Team. This is an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience or develop current skills further. We are currently operating flexible location principles with both remote working and time on campus required.
You’ll have the opportunity to gain new skills and take part in HR-related projects to support the University’s strategic aims and continually improve our services. No two days are the same with a wide variety of recruitment processes which are constantly evolving.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will participate in the work of the Recruitment Salaried Team as part of the HR operational support to the University. This team provide Human Resources support for new staff from the advert and appointment stage through to onboarding for salaried academic and professional appointments.
We manage a high workload, often multi-tasking and prioritising our processes to meet the demands of stakeholders and managers. You will liaise with staff at all levels across the University, and may be producing contractual offers, completing Right to Work, DBS and UKVI checks, drafting adverts and reviewing job descriptions, welcoming new staff and providing a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
You will have good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. A methodical approach is needed, and your application will show you are able to prioritise a busy and varied workload. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. You will be a strong team player, able to engage with colleagues and can work independently. You will be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) with a good standard of customer care. Previous experience within a Higher Education Institution or within Human Resources, would be advantageous.
For the UH 4 HR Assistant Administrator role you will have demonstrable experience in a customer facing role.
For the UH 5 HR Administrator role you must have proven administrative experience in a complex and dynamic organisation and be able to demonstrate proficient administrative skills.

Qualifications Required
HR Assistant Administrator – You will hold a minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or higher qualifications or proven professional work experience.
HR Administrator – You will be educated with a minimum of A-level or to an equivalent standard or proven substantial professional work experience.
