HR intern – Baghdad

The HR Intern will work under the supervision of the Area Coordinator – Baghdad. This position will support while learning the HR department in terms of Social Security records plus hard and soft archiving.

The HR Intern is expected to work according to the IRC working schedule for seven days 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM with half an hour lunch break to finalize the archiving related to the SOS blue lists for IRC staff members.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and Verify Social Security Forms: Access the social security blue forms (ledgers) of former IRC staff from SharePoint (BOX), print them, and cross-check the information with the list of former staff.
  • Review of Accuracy: Ensure all forms are accurate and complete.
  • Identify Gaps: Check for any missing information or inconsistencies.
  • Resolve Discrepancies: Contact former employees, if necessary, to address any issues or provide missing details.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  • B.A Degree in accountancy, business administration or other relevant fields.
  • A keen interest in the humanitarian field, particularly in HR and Finance, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and collaborate effectively with employees across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information or data.
  • Belief in human rights including gender equality.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
