The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse
parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across
London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent’s
Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower
Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited
attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.
We are now looking for an HR Manager to join our team in Hyde Park on a full-time, permanent
basis.

The Role
With around 300 permanent and fixed term employees and a seasonal workforce working across our
parks, leisure and retail activities, you will be joining us at a time when levels of employee
engagement have never been higher with 88% of our staff saying that they would recommend us as
a good place to work. As HR Manager responsible for a small team of HR Advisors and
Administrators, you will play a critical part in maintaining and improving on this level of
engagement, providing proactive and responsive HR services to our colleagues across the Parks –
including employee relations, recruitment and induction, wellbeing, equality, diversity and
inclusion, payroll and benefits and reward.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide HR expertise on organisational change processes
- Support the team with a number of HR projects
- Participate in the annual pay negotiations process
- Coach managers to resolve employee relations matters
- Oversee the recruitment function, working with the Recruitment Advisor to optimise our access
to the talent pool - Develop and nurture a committed team
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Substantial generalist HR experience across a range of disciplines
- Experience of managing, motivating and developing direct reports in a small team
- The ability to establish trust and credibility with staff at all levels across the
organisation, providing honest and constructive feedback - Demonstrable knowledge of HR best practice and workplace trends supported by a working
knowledge of employment law - A CIPD qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience working in a Human Resources
environment
