Apply today!What you will be doing*Experience with HR Projects strongly preferred but not required*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages sub-project dependencies and program constructs.
- Able to proactively identify, analyze and implement strategic decisions/solutions, when ambiguous and/or challenging situations could impact project success. Remains effective even when information is unclear or limited guidance is available.
- Ensure enterprise goals and objectives are met by tracking trends in progress and makes recommended changes based on metrics review, stakeholder, and team member feedback. Exhibit behavior that demonstrates commitment to outcomes.
- Promotes and fosters collaboration between key stakeholders, team members and/or vendors to ensure business objectives are met. Demonstrates leadership with or without authority, functions as a highly effective and motivating leader and involves group in strategy development to generate enthusiasm, ownership, and commitment.
- Works closely with project stakeholders to identify and document risks and issues; ensures risk owners determine appropriate strategies to minimize probabilities and/or impacts; actively identifies ineffective risk mitigations and develops alternate mitigation strategies.
- Actively engages with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop appropriate communication channels; escalates appropriate strategic issues/risks when needed and handles less priority issues/risks without escalation.
- Establishes formal and informal communications to ensure interdependencies are well known and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Effectively manages various workstreams with differing priorities and consistently analyzes ambiguous or difficult situations to bring stakeholders to a unified resolution.
- Ability to strategically work with leaders across the organization and demonstrate leadership adaptability.
- Actively builds a network of strong stakeholder relationships to effectively provide resource recommendations and guidance for future assignments
- Executes projects utilizing appropriate project management methodologies.
- Excels at learning new skills/concepts to improve project management and execution and can share and coach team members.
- Utilizes internal resources to better understand how assigned projects align with the company mission, vision, purpose, and objectives.
- Proactively identifies changes in program/portfolio direction or scope conflict with organizational goals.
- Proposes project staffing and vendor recommendations based on the desired project outcomes and financial implications.
- Ability to forecast project costs.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
What your background should look likeEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business, Management, Information Systems or Engineering; or equivalent work experience. Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of direct project management experience including 2+ years of complex project and program management experience; PMP or PgMP certification or related higher education learning required with an emphasis on Program Management tools and techniques. Experience in Healthcare or Supply Chain industry preferred.MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and team player
- Strong presentation and communication skill
- Demonstrated professional and effective interpersonal skills
- Experience in healthcare preferred
- Strong knowledge of Planview, Microsoft Project or similar project planning software
- Strong computer skills in order to operate with company systems and programs, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Overnight travel as required
