How can you make a difference? 

Purpose of the job:

The HR Officer reports to the Chief of HR for close guidance, training and supervision and will provide HR support to management and staff in Cox’s Bazar and in addition to Entitlements and Benefits, the incumbent will also focus on HR in Emergency (Preparedness & Response) as an area of functional expertise.

The Officer also provides support to the supervisor and colleagues in the unit by executing HR services through applying knowledge of theoretical HR models, as well as understanding of organizational HR policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements:

Education:

• A University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.

experience:

• One year of professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.

  Experience in HR business partner roles, ideally in international, humanitarian, or multicultural contexts.

Language Requirements:

• fluency in English is required.

Desirables:

• Experience in HR within emergency or humanitarian contexts (e.g., refugee/IDP camps, post-conflict environments), including the ability to adapt practices to complex environments, is a strong asset.
• Professional experience related to entitlements & benefits will be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with HR policies and procedures in the UN system (especially staff rules and regulations) is a significant asset.
• Familiarity with HR ERP systems (e.g., SAP), Talent Management Systems, HRIS, and learning/performance management systems.
• Experience in HR data analysis, reporting, and visualization to inform decision-making and strategy.
• Employee Relations: Experience handling staff relations, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Project Management: Ability to design, implement, and evaluate HR projects and initiatives.
• Change Management: Experience supporting organizational change through HR interventions
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
