The Division of Global Communication and Advocacy is undergoing significant staff changes, which necessitate the need to fill in the HR staffing gaps created by the release of the existing GCA HR Associate to the Division of Human Resources (DHR). This role is in place to support the Division in coping with the complexities of the tasks at hand.
How can you make a difference?
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Operation and the direct supervision of the Human Resources Specialist, the Human Resources Associate provides technical administrative, procedural and operational support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions for all categories of staff in his/her office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations.

Education:
Completion of secondary education with at least six years of relevant work experience is required, or
*A first level university degree (Bachelor’s) in a relevant field with three years of relevant work experience, or
**An advanced university degree (Master’s) in a relevant field with one year of relevant work experience.
Experience:
– A minimum of 6 years of relevant human resources, administrative, or clerical work experience is required.
Language:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.

Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
