HR Business Manager

Salary: OTE of £80k, comprising a competitive basic salary plus an annual company bonus

Location: Northwest London

A dynamic team looking for a HR Business Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving human resources, training, and recruitment initiatives for a FMCG wholesale distribution and retail operation (online and bricks-and-mortar). We are seeking a commercially oriented, results-driven individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver HR, training, and recruitment strategies aligned with company targets.
• Provide guidance to Heads of Departments on commercial activities.
• Implement people processes such as performance reviews, onboarding, and policy rollouts.
• Support new site openings and devise talent attraction plans, including pre-opening training.
• Measure, analyse, implement, and control key people metrics across the company.
• Offer counsel and oversee complex Employee Relations issues, including grievance and disciplinary cases.
• Champion company values and contribute to the foundations of our culture.
• Oversee all HR operations, systems, processes, and administration.
• Provide expert guidance on legislation, HR policy, and compliance.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Manager in FMCG wholesale distribution or retail.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
• Commercially savvy HR lead with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Business-minded and comfortable with numbers.
• Proven experience in strategically driving and implementing change.
• Significant knowledge of HR generalist processes and approach.
• Experience in Retail, Distribution, or FMCG is essential.
• Strong background in managing employee relations cases and absence management.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management.
