About the role
Mercy Community has an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Families & Young People (FYP) Service stream by implementing effective people management practices and supporting business performance improvement initiatives. This role is initially offered as a 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract working on Full-Time basis based in our Nudgee office with remote working available.
Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources Management, you will be instrumental in delivering operational and strategic human resources support to our FYP Service stream. In this true business partnering role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing legislative, EBA and Award Interpretation advice
- Partnering with Leaders to create and deliver tailored people strategies
- Coaching, training and mentoring frontline leaders as required
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR/ER practice and legislative requirements
- Conducting investigations on employee relations issues including grievances and performance and disciplinary concerns
- Producing and analysing monthly reporting on performance, turnover, and general HR initiatives
- Identifying and implementing operational solutions to enhance process functionalities
- Assisting with project related tasks to support the implementation of a HRIS
About You
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role
- Proven experience in key operational HR areas such as performance management, employee relations, organisational development, and HR best practice
- Proven ability to quickly develop trusted and influential relationships with managers and employees
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
