Women account for about 51% of the 7.9 million Sierra Leoneans, nearly 29% of members of Parliament and over 30% in Government.
Sierra Leone made key strides in the promulgation of laws and policies relating to Sexual and Gender Based violence, women’s leadership in public life and in peace and security, and their access to land. In line with the principle of Leaving No One Behind, UN Women makes deliberate efforts to develop partnerships which address the needs, demands and interests of women facing multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination, vulnerability and marginalization. Under the guidance of the Country Office’s HR Focal Person, the Regional HR Business Partner and the HQ HR, the Human Resource (HR) Consultant is responsible for administratively and logistically supporting the development of the Roster and the administration of the recruitment of Interns, the administration of Interns’ time at UN Women Sierra Leone, in line with the expressed needs of various programme and Operations units, and as approved by the Head of Office. The HR Consultant may contribute to other priorities of the Office.
