RADIOLOGY & IMAGING SCIENCES (IN-RADY-IUINA)


The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Indiana University School of Medicine continues to strengthen the education, research and clinical programs it offers while fortifying the alignment between the IU School of Medicine and IU Health/ IU Health Physicians. The department is expanding research infrastructure, training the next generation of health care providers, and recruiting new talent to improve population health in Indiana and beyond.


Reporting to the department HR Leader, the HR Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be processing daily faculty and staff HR recruitment activities and providing administrative support on related HR matters.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Manages the IUSM Faculty Affairs recruitment database and applicant tracking in the University’s PeopleAdmin system.
  • Prepares offer packets.
  • Drafts offer letters and remote work arrangements for dual employed physicians.
  • Processes faculty re-appointments.
  • Processes visa hires for dual employed physicians and research faculty.  
  • Processes staff & faculty hires including pre-employment screen activities, background checks, I9, health evaluations and e-docs.

General Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, processes, verifies, and maintains HR related work, which may include but not limited to: recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, classifications, I-9s and employee leaves of absences.
  • Researches and analyzes HR related topics to help assist in resolving issues and/or creating solutions.
  • Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents for HR related activities.
  • Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining and keeping information current for candidates, employees and/or retirees on a variety of HR issues
  • Provides administrative and related support to other HR staff.
  • Supports and maintains HR programs and events; maintains up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and time frames.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.


Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.  

 

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 3 years of HR related experience plus advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
