Organizational Context/ Project Background:

- South-South cooperation, gender equality and social inclusion are promoted across the pillars. The programme is supported by a framework of renewed partnerships and blended finance solutions, strategic innovation and and accelerator labs, and data and digital architecture.

As part of the UNDP team, your focus will be to work with diverse stakeholders to find country-specific solutionsthat lead to sustainable development and reach those furthest behind first.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the HR Associate and overall supervision of the Head of HR, the HR intern will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:
Support in Recruitments:
- Support the HR Team in the recruitment processes by reaching out to candidates, sharing the questionnaire, encoding/decoding written tests, following up when necessary, and other required support.
- Support in updating the recruitment status for all candidates and assist in maintaining proper documentation for all the recruitments.
- Support in updating the status of recruitments, overviews, new hires etc. as and when required.
Support in Learning and Development:
- Support in maintaining the mandatory course tracker and corroborate information with all staff/units to ensure correctness.
- Support Head of HR in following up with colleagues as and when necessary.
- Support the HR Associate in organizing L&D activities and staff engagement sessions with logistics and designing required communication.
- Support the Core HR team for any other daily tasks.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
Applicants to the UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
- Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
- Candidates with background in Journalism, English Literature and Public Relations will be preferred.
Skills:
- Has sound knowledge of Microsoft office (Office 365, SharePoint Online)
- Ability to produce high quality documents with quick turnaround time.
- Good team player and ability to adapt to change in work environment
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and adjust accordingly as new priorities arise.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English and understanding of Hindi is desirable.
