How can you make a difference? 

We are seeking an intern who will work very closely with the HR team to support HR programmes and initiatives in L&D and Career Management. The HR intern will also support in developing communication and promotional material that promotes and markets those initiatives to staff, as well as performing administrative tasks and supporting daily activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in rolling out of L&D initiatives and implementation, including planning, organization events, communications, management of participations and logistics arrangements.
  • Assist in updating L&D reports and statistics.
  • Work on data and information analysis for the assigned initiatives.
  • Support in delivery of HR related trainings and briefings.
  • Assist in preparing communication materials to promote L&D initiatives.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the learning resources including the country office training calendar, learning catalogue and others.
  • Support updating and maintenance of communication channels such as SharePoint and Viva Engage pages.
  • Assist in the preparation of HR related reports and documentation.
  • Follow up on courses attendance including Mandatory courses, ensure up to date records and communication with staff members.
  • Update training trackers and follow up on individual training requests and processes.
  • Support any other activities related to L&D and staff engagement.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • A bachelor’s university degree in Business Administration, Communication, Social Science, English, Education, Psychology, Sociology, and related fields with an interest in HR and/or organizational development is required.
  • graduated within the past two years.
  • Experience in developing communication materials, infographic design and/or similar will be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in HR is an asset
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records is required.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister) working in any UNICEF office; and have no other relatives in the line of authority that the intern will report to.
  • Additional consideration will be given for any past experience.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills is required.
  • Solid interpersonal skills are required.
  • Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications (MS Office suite) is required.
  • Organized and attention to details.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment is required.

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge managing SharePoint is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of L&D and organizational development programmes is a strong asset.
