About this position
We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, team-oriented and innovative Resource Planning & Administration Associate/Senior Associate (RPA) to perform a wide range of administrative functions in the areas of Human Resources, Budget, Procurement, and Training. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a client-centric approach to service and utilize leveraging data analytics to manage the resource allocation and support informed decision making.
You will work in the Front Office of the Human Resources Department (HRD), which is responsible for the administration and development of the IDB Group human capital. HRD manages the full employee lifecycle and implements the People Strategy to support the IDB’s results-based business model. HRD is also committed to delivering human-centered experiences and fostering partnerships with professionals passionate about improving lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Working with us, you will be surrounded by a diverse group of people who have years of experience in all kinds of development fields.
HRD has centralized its project and resources management functions into one single team under the Head of the Project Management Office and Resources Management Group. In this role, you will report to the Head of this group and play a key role in aligning and optimizing resource allocation to support HRD’s mission.

What you’ll need
• Education: Masters degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration, Accounting, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience: At least 4 years of experience working with multilateral organizations and/or in business administration and general office support. Proven experience with systems such as SAP, Hyperion, and Concur. Strong background in resource planning, budget management, contract processing, and invoicing. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and to adapt to competing demands. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is required. Additional knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is a plus.
Requirements
• Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
• Staff International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
