Your Position:

Through the Purpose, Vision and Values of DVConnect, the HSQF Governance Project Specialist is a key compliance, policy and risk role that provides support, information and guidance to the senior and executive leadership team about governance issues as they related to funded service delivery.

The Governance Project Specialist will work with business services, service delivery and clinical staff to maintain and continuously improve a comprehensive, cohesive, inclusive and accessible policy and procedure protocol in relation to risk management support structures and reporting.

With strong knowledge of relevant legislative and funding obligations for DVConnect programs, this role will work closely with our policy writer, clinical team and Subject Matter Experts. Comprehensive reviews and updates relating clinical governance and guiding documentation are completed frequently to ensure consistency, clarity and currency.

  • Tertiary qualifications in the areas of law, public policy, business administration, or a related field. Qualification in social work or behavioural sciences may be considered with relevant experience in compliance and governance.
  • 3+ years in experience in policy and compliance management including policy writing, internal and external audit management, and risk management. Experience in the community services sector or working with complex, highly specialised teams governed by specific legislative and compliance requirements will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated understanding current governing requirements under state and federal funding for DFSV and other related human services, such as Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) and the Qld DFV Practice Standards and Regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting an organisation to maintain current, accurate, compliance/risk management processes through effective, easily accessible processes.
  • Experience in conducting compliance assessment audits and reporting.
  • Familiarity in risk management practices and frameworks
