Elrha is a global organisation that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. We are looking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Adviser, specifically to support a programme of work relating to humanitarian innovation. The role is fixed term until March 2025 to start as soon as practical.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to play an essential role in supporting two important workstreams specifically to improve the impact of humanitarian innovation by:
- Providing further clarity of the pathways needed to support routine integration of new evidence and solutions into live responses in order to overcome one of the key barriers to scale for humanitarian innovation.
- Identifying the barriers that inhibit the integration of innovations into live responses for rapid onset or acute crises, and also to explore and address the identified conceptual, practical and ethical challenges to approaching Value for Money in this context
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) at project and/or organisational levels, ideally in a humanitarian context.
- Strong familiarity with key MEAL concepts and approaches.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear and accessible manner.
- A passion for innovative and ‘out of the box’ thinking, devising and testing new solutions and ways of working.
- Proven capacity to work independently and take the initiative, and work as part of a team.
- Experience in research and/or innovation would be an advantage.
