Background 

Sherzad Ismail Hussein is a car trade and Vehicle renting service company, founded in 2018 by Mr. Sherzad.

The company is officially registered in the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Iraq. Since 2019, Sherzad Company has structured a proper department for bid preparation and submission called the Bidding Department to participate in tenders published by International organizations and companies for Transportation services, selling new brand vehicles, and purchasing used vehicles aiming to provide our best quality service, fortunately, due to our commitment and understanding the needs of our clients, we have been contracted for long-term agreements by many NGOs in Iraq. Sherzad Company has established a strong reputation for delivering quality service at a competitive price

PURPOSE OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Sherzad Company plans to hire a pool of individual drivers with their vehicles, including car depreciation, insurance (Full coverage),  fuel, and maintenance. The activity will be based in locations specified above, with frequent trips around each city. The Driver will be reporting to the Company Fleet Officer.

Sherzad Company will require Hybrid vehicles (Sedan, SUV 5 or 7 Seats)

If you have any of the following vehicle types, we invite you to share your interest with us.

1- Hybrid / HEV – Toyota Corolla 2023 or newer (Sedan)

2- Hybrid / HEV – Toyota RAV4, Cross, 2023 or newer (SUV 5 seats)

3- Hybrid / HEV SUV 7 seats (Any type or model)

 

DRIVER EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid PUBLIC driving license and a clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of working experience as a Driver for NGOs, International companies, or as a public employee;
• The interested candidate should be an Iraqi Citizen.
• Knowledge of Mechanics is an asset.
• Spoken Basic English and Arabic is an asset.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, committed,
• Familiarity with defensive driving techniques and the project area is desirable.
• Good knowledge of country roads and the work location
• The applicant must submit a clear CV (maximum 2 pages)
• A copy of the driver’s license and national ID
• A copy of his Vehicle registration
• The driver will work 8 hours per day (including an hour break), 5 days a week.
• Sherzad Company’s working hours are 08:30 – 05:00 PM from Sunday to Thursday.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Checking the vehicle before its use daily (the driver should use the Sherzad Company checklist and tick the boxes before every departure)
• Observe the Company’s Standard operation for departures and arrivals.
• Ensure no unauthorized person drives the official vehicle on duty.
• Maintain a clean vehicle inside and out. After a journey, remove all rubbish from the vehicle and keep it tidy.
• Maintain a logbook of trip use, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• When the vehicle is not in use, keep the keys and documents secure.
• Before driving, ensure that all passengers are wearing safety belts.
• Ensure that all vehicle journeys are authorized ahead of time.
• Maintaining a car logbook that records all vehicle movements (date, time, kilometers);
• Submit all fuel invoices and payment vouchers.
• Immediately report any accident or security incident/risk to the supervisor—complete accident and incident reports accurately and on time.
• Check daily before departure that the vehicle is roadworthy and provided with the required vehicle packs (breakdown and recovery kit; fire extinguishers, first-aid kit) according to the Vehicle Check List.
• Facilitate smooth transit across barriers or checkpoints, and liaise with governmental officers, security officers, and military representatives.
• Work after duty hours or holidays as and when required and with prior notice from the line manager.
• It may also be necessary to perform other duties related to the position as directed by the manager.
