The Project Officer is responsible for coordination and implementation of the Information, Counseling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) activities in Mayom/Mankien and Leer Counties Unity State, South Sudan.

The responsibilities depend to some degree on the existing organizational chart of the Country Office and the size and complexity of the operations. If these responsibilities do not reflect the reality of the field operations, the COs can adapt the content as long as the structure and style are the same. Details shall be incorporated in the Work- and Professional Development Plan and not be included in the JD.
Specific responsibilities
Critical interfaces
By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:
• Other ICLA staff including ICLA Project Manager and ICLA core competency specialists and other Core Competencies such as LFS, Education and Shelter/NFI and WASH

Note: All applicants must have a valid South Sudanese Nationality Certificate and Passport.
DUTY STATION AND LIVING CONDITIONS
The positions will be based in Mayom/Mankien and Leer Counties Unity State and will require the staff to travel inside within different areas of Jonglei State. As the position is for a South Sudanese national, the employee will be responsible for finding his or her own accommodation within the county.
