Job Description:

Install, configure, and support the LANs WANs and Internet systems Maintains, and monitors procedures for all servers backups, according to the existing backup policy, including but not limited to rotating the tapes, ensuring successfulness of the backup, maintaining the backup logbook, performing the offsite storage Monitor network performance and maintain it to its optimal level (>98%) in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and spare parts, and analyse equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predGTD, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements. Develop and implement robust processes to ensure that a high-quality service is provided to both Regional Office, Cluster and stand-alone ADP/Projects customers Responsible for assisting all customers with their questions about any of business supported software and computing platforms to the best of his/her ability, in a professional and courteous manner. Conduct the Onboarding process for new staff. Perform on-site and remote technical support as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA) Seek to reach the best customer satisfaction level (>80% from customer satisfaction survey) Log all helpdesk interactions in the IT Call/Task database or any similar tool being used Perform the regular server and other computers maintenance on a quarterly basis Provide emergency on-call support as the need arises Arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house. Provide support for all the critical business systems,
Manage connectivity with the partnership, maintaining consultative relationship with all Internet providers to ensure that the service provided is optimal (>98%) Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs Develop and maintain a training plan for end-users for a good usage of all the IT resources Provide leadership in all IT matters and advice to the SMT Champion the IT department strategies, policies and standards at the main office and during project visits. Creates and maintains good technical documentation. Monthly report and maintains an excellent communication with the GTD Manager on all tasks and projects. Attend the morning devotions and other spiritual activities Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITIES AND BEHAVIOUR

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Application development qualification will be an added advantage.
  • 3 years working experience in the information technology/ information systems context, one of these spent administering an office network.
  • Experience in managing people in a supervisory role.
  • An exceptional understanding of Office 365 platform, share Point and the infrastructure that supports it including ISP relations and remote user connectivity.
  • Working experience in AZURE, and Windows operating systems (server and clients), Cisco (routers and firewalling) and a certification in any one of them. (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, COBIT)
  • Good communication skills and articulate both verbally and in the written word.
  • Ability to relate technical issues to business/ministry in laymen’s terms.
  • Willing and able to travel within and outside the country for work assignments
  • A mature and committed Christian.
