Overview of position:
The Innovation Support Expert will provide & support innovative technological initiatives across the mission.

The functions of the ICT Innovative Support may include any of the following roles:
Provides specialized & innovative advice on complex systems analysis &d design, identifies the need for new systems (or modifications to existing systems) & responds to requests from users, contributes to the development of plans for feasibility assessment, requirements specification, design, development & implementation, including project plan, schedules, time & cost estimates, metrics & performance measures.
Plans & implements information management initiatives of significant importance to the mission, which typically impact large or multiple user groups, including document, data, web content & records management services & tools, training programs for information management, business intelligence dashboards, cross cutting monitoring tools & staff intranet / web portals.
Provide innovative & strategic & operational leadership to conference facility technology, covering but not limited to conference management & simultaneous interpretation systems, audio visual distribution & control, broadcasting & recording systems, web streaming, video conferencing & conference operations.
Consolidate, fine tune & integrate traffic statistics of the mission’s internal network by using in house monitoring systems to better assess remote sites capacity requirements, utilization & metrics to aide decision making on network requirements & polices.
Installation, testing, commissioning & supporting of CCTV systems in the mission.
Conduct all necessary tests, services & inspections to assure the system functions & operates as one integrated IP surveillance system.
May be tasked to carry out other duties & functions from time to time that are broadly consistent with those specified in this document.

Project reporting:
This role reports to the line manager.

Key competencies:
High school diploma or equivalent is required with at least six years of working experience in experience in an information technology environment.
Fluency in English (both oral & written) is required & knowledge of French is desirable.

Team management:
This role has no team management responsibility.
