Overview of position
- CTG is looking for candidates whose experience match the below TOR.
Role objectives
- Carry out effective design, installation & management of FTS core infrastructures & telecommunication tall infrastructure installation.
- Installation & maintenance of communication systems such as satellite antenna systems including 03B.
- Installation of security surveillance camera, UAV systems & LTE wireless antenna systems on towers.
- Installation & management of microwave antennas & links, radio broadcasting antennas & air operations Jitron systems on tall infrastructures.
- Conduct site survey for selection of an appropriate location for tower construction to ensure clear line of site from one site to the other & avoid proximity to high tension power line, waterways & waterlog in respect of the environment.
- Ensuring that tower construction does not cause hazards to people working & living around the tower site.
- Implementing work at height safety regulations / policies in line with mission SOP.
- Carry out assessment on the project site to ascertain the safety of the project.
- Selection of location at height on towers to install antennas for a line of sites linking various remote locations.
- Construction of structure foundation.
- Erection of telecommunications tower.
- Installation of transmission lines & antennal systems.
- Carry out periodic modification & structural maintenance.
- Inspect telecom tower support structures to meet safety compliance.
- Monitoring wireless communications antenna for public & aviation safety.
- Installing safety protection for communications & its utility to support networks.
Project reporting
- This role will report to the line manager.
Key competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, any additional technical or vocational training in telecommunications or other related field is required.
- At least five years of working experience in providing ICT operational support services related to rigging activities.
- Fluency in English (both oral & written) is required & basic knowledge of French is desirable.
Team management
- This role has no team management responsibility.
