VACANCY: ICT Specialist 1
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral and independent international humanitarian organisation, which assists and protects victims of armed conflicts and other situations of violence. The ICRC is currently looking for staff to support its operations in Iraq.

Job Title: ICT Specialist 1
Level: B1
Duty Station: Iraq – Nasiriyah Sub-Delegation
Reports to: ICT Manager, Head of Sub-Delegation
Duration of Contract: One Year fixed term contract (with the possibility of renewal to an open-ended contract where performance and competencies are key to be selected for further contractual continuity)

Objective:
Under the supervision of the ICT Manager, the ICT Specialist 1 will offer workplace support and maintain a proper functionality of the ICT setup and infrastructure, also he/she will in contact with all the internal and external interlocutors including service providers and offers support to users in Nasiriyah Sub-Delegation. The ICT Specialist 1 will have a good knowledge on the ICT domains (PC hardware and software, networking, telephony, radios, satellite systems, and ServiceDesk).
Key Responsibilities:
- Installs, programs, adapts and maintains all professional ICRC Informatics, Telecom and Telephony equipment’s like (computers, printers, peripherals, internal networks, power systems, internet facilities, radios, PABX) in compliance with the internal standards and procedures.
- Manage day-to-day processes on the first level operation of ICT services of Nasiriyah Sub-Delegation by ensuring good communication with the line management as well as the users.
- Provides timely response to ServiceDesk requests from callers and walk-ins, providing remote and onsite assistance to users with ICT problems.
- Ensures all ICT support requests are accurately logged in the ServiceDesk portal and all resolutions are done according to the agreed Service Level Agreement.
- Follow-up on attribution of equipment’s to and configuration of services for new arrivals as well as receipt of any ICT materials from departing colleagues.
- Maintains proper documentation of all equipment attributed or loaned in the inventory and the ICT stock, organize requests for equipment replacement and repairs.
- Provide training to users in the use and processing of information systems and information security as per ICRC standards.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education and Professional Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT domain (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems)
- 2 years’ experience in ICT services (ServiceDesk, Workplace, ICT, Telecom).
- Fluency in English and Arabic, written and spoken.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Strong Organisational Skills.
- Teamwork, cooperation and accountability.
