Posting Context Statement | IdahoSTARS is a statewide program funded by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare-Block Grant. It is designed to assist parents by offering child care referrals and information about quality child care settings, as well as to assist child care providers with a variety of professional development opportunities and resources. The Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD) is an independent unit within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The CDHD improves the lives of people with disabilities and their families by educating an interdisciplinary workforce, providing training and technical assistance within communities, conducting research, providing direct services, and disseminating evidence-based information. |
Position Overview | This position promotes healthy and safe child care by assisting with program policy development and implementation of quality health, safety, and nutrition practices in early care and education settings. This position provides coaching, training, and resources to child care directors and providers, families, and regional and statewide partners. |
