Location: United States of America

We are responsible for processing the operational activities in the areas of trade settlements, cash management, treasury portfolio servicing, corporate payments and collections, and collateral management while enabling the Business Strategy and minimizing the operational risks.

About this position:

We are looking for an excellent team player to join our Team who is detailed oriented, with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, eager to learn and contribute. You will support the team in the various activities including but not limited to, the Trade settlement of Fixed income and Derivative products, processing of international payments, reporting and reconciliations of cash and securities activities.

What you’ll do:

Trade Settlement Operations:

 

· Perform trade confirmation process for all fixed income securities and OTC derivatives trades with counterparts.

· Monitor and ensure settlement of investments activities (fixed income securities), funding activities (bonds issued), and OTC derivatives instruments for Treasury related activities.

· Review Bond and ISDA Swap documentation

· Process and record cash, investment, funding, and derivative transactions in systems.

· Ensure accurate and smooth portfolio servicing for all trades which includes Fees, interest, and maturity payments.

· Monitor and resolve pre-trade/post-trade discrepancies.

Cash and Securities Reconciliation:

 

 

· Perform daily reconciliation of securities positions between internal systems and custodians.

· Ensure all corporate actions are correctly captured in the internal systems.

· Resolve various cash breaks encountered during the trade lifecycle of derivative trades.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, business administration, accounting, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience: You have at least 5 years of relevant experience; successful track record of achieving high quality results and delivering client valuable services to meet team and departmental objectives; expertise in fixed income trade settlement, OTC derivatives market, Treasury Management System, and international payment systems strongly preferred.
  • Languages: You are proficient in written and verbal communication in English and in a second official language of the IDB Group (Spanish, Portuguese, or French).

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of pre/post trade settlement processes of Fixed Income, Derivative and Cash Instruments including relevant financial calculations.
  • Strong knowledge of Bond and ISDA Swap documentation
  • Experience working with Treasury Management Systems, Markitwire and Bloomberg AIM will be desirable.
  • Experience in trade settlement in international markets especially LATAM markets is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT messages related to securities and cash settlements.
  • Ability to use technology to improve and advance new and existing processes.
