As the new Identity & Access Management (IAM) Specialist, you will be responsible for operating identity and access management related services for EUROCONTROL Agency (MUAC excluded) for the on-prem and cloud infrastructures. The IAM Specialist will work as part of the Infrastructure service in close collaboration with the hosting and endpoint management teams. You will also oversee the service deliverables of the providers supporting the IT infrastructure.

Your role will be to:

  • Design, implement, operate and optimize  Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to ensure the right and timely access to the Agency’s infrastructure.
  • Oversee the effective delivery and execution of IAM services and support from the external IT suppliers, and collaborate with relevant internal specialists (i.e. network specialists, security architects, etc) as needed.
  • Contribute to IAM technology projects and coordinate deliverables with external IT Suppliers.
  • Gather IAM requirements from business representatives and transform them into technical specifications and blueprints, and align the service scope and deliverables with business expectations.
  • Identify gaps and risks in the existing IAM landscape, investigate options and produce recommendations.
  • Actively participate in resolving high-priority outages, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Ensure adherence Service Level Agreements for IAM services and ensure compliance with safety, quality and security standards.
  • Act as the IAM process manager, define standards and procedures, and ensure adherence at all levels.
  • Produce technical documentation and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
  • Completed university degree of 4 years in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, or in other related technical field) or completed university degree of 3 years plus 1 year of relevant working experience.
  • Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience (hands-on) in IAM including associated services and products.
  • Experience operating multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management, federation or related technologies (e.g. RSA, AzureAD, IBM ISAM, Okta, Usercube, …).
  • Understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security.
  • Technical writing skills (English).
  • Interest to keep abreast of relevant trends in technology.
