 IFC’s Human Resources department is seeking an intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The Global Internship Program (GIP) offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the Global Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world. 

Duties and Accountabilities:  

•  Contribute to various HR global programs, initiatives, and projects, including providing strategic HR partnerships and solutions, building a diverse and inclusive workforce, improving staff engagement, and designing best practice solutions to attract, grow, and deploy talent.
•  Conduct research, data analysis, or special studies and present results and recommendations.
•  Perform other duties as assigned.
•  Intern may also shadow colleagues in any of the HR Centers of Expertise (Talent and Incentives; Global Talent Acquisition and Mobility; and Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness). 

 

Selection Criteria

 

•  Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Master’s degree level program
•  Field of study in Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Human Resources Management, Business, Statistics, or related field.
•  2-3 years of HR, HR consulting, recruitment, organizational design, or similar work experience (previous job positions, paid or unpaid internships, and volunteer work count).
•  Ability to manage projects, conduct research, and analyze data to inform people-related decisions.
