Background The Iraqi Institution for Development (IID) is seeking an experienced Training Company to deliver a 3-day capacity-building workshop focused on enhancing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services. The workshop will train 15 front-line staff from IID, IID partners, and Junior Professional doctors in the principles and practices of MHPSS -mhGAP (Mental Health Gap Action Programme). This training will emphasize skills development in identifying, assessing, and managing mental health conditions using the WHO-mhGAP intervention guidelines.

Key Objectives

  • Equip participants with essential knowledge and skills for implementing MHPSS interventions in primary healthcare settings.

  • Strengthen understanding and application of mhGAP guidelines for managing priority mental health conditions.

  • Enhance practical competencies in providing MHPSS services, including case management and effective referral pathways.

  • Improve participants’ ability to deliver integrated and quality mental health services in non-specialized healthcare settings.
