Duties and Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible to: • Update, refine, and expand previously developed multimedia and visual communication materials. • Develop digital content and publication designs in Arabic and English to support ongoing awareness-raising, campaigns and communications efforts. • Support the management and content creation of the IIMP website and social media channels. • Provide technical support and guidance to the Independent Institution’s team on the developed branding toolkit and templates.

Qualifications/special skills

First degree in journalism, international relations, social sciences, or related to human rights is required. At least five years of professional experience in communication, outreach, and public information, including digital communication, social media, and design development related to humanitarian settings and/or human rights issues is required. A minimum of three years of experience working on public information and outreach campaigns in the Arabic language, coordinating with multiple actors including civil society organizations and international bodies is required. Substantive experience in working on the situation in Syria is highly desirable.

Languages

Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
