JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:    Research Supervisor 

 

Contract:        1-year renewable contract                                    Location:  Kano

Closing Date: 23 July 2025

DUTIES: 

Support establishment and management of nutrient omission trials for development of site-specific nutrients management tools.
Contribute to soil sampling and data collection to support digital soil mapping in Northern Nigeria.
Contribute to training of extension agents and farmers on climate-smart agriculture and ISFM.
Ensure accurate data recording and maintain trial documentation for research
Gather farmer feedback to refine research approaches and ensure adoption of recommended practices.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION:

BSc in Agronomy, Agricultural Science and other related courses. The ideal candidate must have minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

COMPETENCIES:

The ideal candidate must:

Be proficient in the use MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.
Demonstrate a high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Possess excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
