As a drivers mate you will be responsible for the customer element of all deliveries – being friendly and upbeat as well as assisting with the lifting and shifting of items. You don’t need any specific experience just the right attitude and we can teach you the rest!

Should you want to progress and earn more money, we are willing to pay for your Class 2 license and promote you to a driver after a successful probation period.

What will you be doing as a Drivers Mate?

• Working as a 2-person delivery team delivering items in customers’ homes
• Responsible for calling customers ahead of time to advise of ETA and carry out pre delivery assessment of the property
• Accurately record delivery outcomes on to Flexi Pod system
• Complete risk assessments on arrival to customer property checking for potential hazards
• Communicating with clients and head office to advise of any difficulties during delivery or installation
• Always providing a first-class customer service experience

Relevant skills and experience as a Drivers Mate:

• This is a physically demanding role including lifting and shifting – essential that you are physically able to lift items
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
• Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
• Ability to multitask and problem solve
• DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
