Key Responsibility

 

  • Perform IMO activities: the identification, collection, verification, dissemination and analysis data.
  • Ensure overall accuracy, quality and integrity of data collected, processed and stored by MAG Iraq
  • Conduct quality checks on all data received from the field teams, and produced by IMU team; establish quality assurance procedures whenever possible and relevant
  • In liaison with IM handle task orders requesting from the local authorities and share  them with field teams.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the DMA and other internal department such as Operation, TOM, CD, TFMs CLMs, FOM, FSO for any queries.
  • Conduct initial meetings with key government DMA to deliver MAG’s request or DMA requests for MAG.
  • Initiate weekly progress reports to update MAG and DMA on ongoing activities, challenges, and upcoming plans.
  • Draft, review, and send official letters and documents to government entities.
  • Monitor and follow up on the status of submitted reports and requests with government agencies.
  • Receive letter from local authority (DMA), and traslate all letter to english then disribut amonge relevent department.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that all necessary information is gathered and communicated effectively.
  • Maintain a log of all communications and follow-ups with government entities.
  • Follow up with FSO’s staff to ensure accurate and timely data recording and information flow to IMU, rectify occurring issues, and provide guidance as needed. Such as (weekly report, weekly plan).
  • Produce easy to understand analytical reports, briefing and maps on request of IMU Manager or/and programme staff
  • Manage flow of hard copy data from the field offices to the various government reporting authorities
  • Ensure sharing and documenting an institutional knowledge and good practices within IMU team.

  • Contribute to other fundraising initiatives where appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings where relevant.
  • Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting concerns if they do arise. 
  • Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required.

Person selection criteria

 

The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in related field of work (Geography, IM, Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, international development or humanitarian affair or similar)
  • Fluency in Arabic and good command of English languages are required
  • Comfortable and sound use basic software (MS Office)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information management, data management, GIS or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a coordination role.
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written communication skills, ability to present information clearly, negotiation and solving issues.
  • Proven supervisory skills; ability to wisely delegate tasks and follow-up on its completion
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Solution orientated attitude; record of proactively identifying and addressing issues
  • Experienced with government entities and external partners

    Additional, preferred skills:

    • Knowledge of written and spoken Kurdish
