BACKGROUND
Purpose of Activity/Assignment:
Years 2023 and 2024 have been an inflexion point for the UNICEF Immunization Programme. Much has been achieved since the development of the UNICEF Immunization Roadmap in 2017-2018 and much has changed in the external programming environment. UNICEF immunization programme seeks to strengthen its analytic capacity, evidence- based inputs into the global dialogue on progress and challenges of immunization programmes and visioning the future of immunization leveraging EPI@50 milestone. There are a variety of immunization data such as programme implementation reports, administrative data, surveys, assessments and evaluations. These data need to be packaged in a variety of knowledge products that can be used by UNICEF immunization section.
The purpose of this assignment is to use the available data sets, latest immunization studies/assessment/ evaluations, perform analysis and generate knowledge products that can inform UNICEF’s policy and programming dialogue internally, as well as within Gavi Alliance and with IA2030, and other immunization stakeholders. The knowledge products will be of various types including visualizations such as briefings, updates, maps, graphs, infographics etc.

Qualifications
Education:
An advanced master’s degree level. Enter Disciplines: Advanced university degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics, international health relations, or another related fields.

With the exception of the US Citizens, G4 Visa and Green Card holders, should the selected candidate and his/her household members reside in the United States under a different visa, the consultant and his/her household members are required to change their visa status to G4, and the consultant’s household members (spouse) will require an Employment Authorization Card (EAD) to be able to work, even if he/she was authorized to work under the visa held prior to switching to G4.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants. Consultants are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
