Job description

We are seeking an experienced Import Logistics Executive to join our clients busy freight forwarding team in Tilbury.Position Details:Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)Type: Permanent, Full timeKey Responsibilities:

• Liaising with clientele and suppliers, including shipping lines, hauliers, and depots.
• Generating internal documentation.
• Creating and sending out invoices.
• Reviewing and processing supplier invoices, raising queries as needed.
• Monitoring vessel arrivals.
• Coordinating collections and deliveries, ensuring adherence to customer deadlines.
• Conducting post-delivery follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identifying any additional services to offer.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a small to medium-sized freight forwarding company.
• Familiarity with CNS and Destin8; knowledge of multi-freight forwarding software is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• A team player
• Strong mathematical and English language skills.
