About the team:
Work in a multidisciplinary team supporting schools in regional networks to implement best practice wellbeing and inclusion approaches to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse needs.
About the role:
The Inclusion Advisor Occupational Therapists work with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external groups or agencies to promote the development of young children and students’ occupational performance ensuring their access to and engagement in educational programs in a range of school and community settings.
Occupational Therapists perform environmental assessments with students using observation and interviews with parents and teachers to plan and implement interventions for students with movement and sensory processing concerns that may be having a direct impact on educational outcomes.
To be successful you will need a degree in occupational therapy and current registration or ability to obtain with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).

Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education
