Work in a multidisciplinary team supporting schools in regional networks to implement best practice wellbeing and inclusion approaches to improve learning outcomes for students with diverse needs.
About the role
Inclusion Advisors provide educational support, evidence-based advice and recommendations to staff and families in school communities and early educational settings, catering for students with identified additional needs to enable them to access Australian curriculum and participate in appropriate educational programs.
The Inclusion Advisor works in a multidisciplinary team that engages directly with schools and early childhood centres to ensure children/students with additional needs are supported to access education programs and strengthens the competencies of educators to support children/students with additional needs through the delivery of evidence-based advice, differentiated support strategies and professional learning programs, including coaching, mentoring, online training, case management, and partnering with non-government and across government agencies to ensure wrap around support services for children/students and their families.
Positions available in Darwin, Top End and East Arnhem (Nhulunbuy)
To be successful you will need a tertiary qualification in Special Education or Education with substantial current knowledge and experience in the area, and registration, or ability to register, with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory.

Corporate – based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four-wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four-wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.
