Result of Service
Under the direct supervision of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer, other relevant staff of the Section, and under overall supervision of the Chief, Thematic Support Section, Corruption and Economic Crime Branch, the individual contractor will perform the following tasks: • Refine the design (including adapting and formatting existing documents) of the YouthLED Toolkit of good practices • Liaise with the UNODC staff responsible for the project on editorial issues, as necessary; • Ensure confidentiality of the document by communicating exclusively with staff of the GRACE initiative. At all times, the individual contractor shall provide to UNODC access to intermediate products under the individual contract arrangement. Expected tangible and measurable tasks: The text elements of the knowledge products are edited and revised.

Duties and Responsibilities
Background of the assignment: The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is the guardian of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), the only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument. The Convention’s far-reaching approach and the mandatory character of many of its provisions makes it a unique tool for developing a comprehensive response to a global problem. UNODC possesses extensive experience and in-depth substantive expertise, delivering and adapting technical assistance to Member States upon request and working with a variety of national, regional and international stakeholders. Moreover, UNODC possesses substantial experience in developing technical tools, and disseminating and facilitating exchange of good practices in the fight against corruption. In December 2021, UNODC launched the Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) initiative to promote further the role of education and youth empowerment in preventing and countering corruption. Under the GRACE initiative, UNODC has established the “YouthLED” Integrity Advisory Board to complement UNODC’s work on streamlining meaningful youth empowerment in anti-corruption efforts. The members of the YouthLED Board have joined forces to develop a’ by youth to youth” toolkit of good practices. The product is drafted by members of the YouthLED Board, under coordination of UNODC, and it is aimed at supporting other young people with limited knowledge and exposure to anti-corruption, to kickstart their anti-corruption initiatives in support of UNCAC’s implementation. In this context, UNODC is seeking a graphic design consultant. Purpose of the assignment: The purpose of this assignment is to provide graphic design and other graphic editing to the knowledge tool for young people.
Qualifications/special skills
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. University studies in graphic design, computer sciences, information technology is desirable. • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in graphic design is required; • Previous experience in designing publications with young people as target audience is desirable; • Previous experience with the United Nations is desirable; • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and other graphics software is required; • Capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision is required; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
