Concise and detailed description of activities, including measurable outputs and delivery dates, impact indicators (what qualitative and quantitative results would be achieved upon completion of individual contract), performance indicators (timelines, value of the servicer endered in relation to the cost, timeliness) and work plan:

To support implementation of the policy database that will be integrated into the UNHCR Digital Workplace allowing users easy access and quick findability, applying naming convention and metadata standards to all assets.
The Individual Contractor, is sought to work on:

  • the implementation of the naming convention
  • Assist with applying the naming convention to files, their language versions, annexes& appendices,
  • Assisting with applying new guidance categories and change types
  • Validate artefacts in the UNHCR intranet against the policy databases with the Transformation and Change Service (TCS) and the Records and Archive Service(RAS)
  • Assist with applying taxonomy, codes in line with naming convention, assigning standard code to each document
  • Liaise with TCS/guidance owner to remove items that are not in records or which need validation
  • Maintain the master database and oversee alignment with other platforms
  • Identifying gaps in metadata needed to transfer artefacts to a new sharepoint library
  • Producing reports and views of guidance that can be validated by guidance owners, and applying feedback.
  • The contractor will liaise closely with and receive support and guidance from the Transformation and Change Service and other relevant Headquarters units including the Records and Archives Service.
Qualification Of The Contractor:
  • Undergraduate degree (equivalent of a BA/BS) in in a work related area or similar field plus minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in information management, web publishing and web content development.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Formsessential).
  • Experience in authoring with SharePoint.
  • Excellent command of English (writtenand oral), and knowledge of a second language.
  • Communications experience with UNHCRand/ or another UN agency.
  • Ability to telework efficiently and effectively in a teamenvironment as well as independently, and manage own work related to multiple tasks andactivities.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and reactive environment, delivering to ahigh standard with tight deadlines.
