The UN Women Strategic Partnerships Division (SPD) is responsible for proactively driving the strategic positioning of UN Women and ensure that the size, sources and predictability of its resources help the organization achieve its strategic goals. The division is organized into three functional clusters: Public Partnerships; Private Sector Partnerships; and Communications & Advocacy.
The Individual, Digital and Public Giving Team sits in the Private Sector Partnerships Section. At the global level, the team coordinates and provides technical support and strategic advice to Regional and Country Offices on all individual and digital giving activities. The Team also oversees the work of UN Women National Committees (NatComs). UN Women has currently in the world (Australia, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Iceland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom), each established as an independent local non-governmental organization. Serving as the public face and dedicated voice of UN Women, the National Committees work tirelessly to raise awareness on women’s rights; secure worldwide visibility for women and girls threatened by poverty, disasters, armed conflict, abuse and exploitation; as well as raise funds from the private sector.
Under the supervision of the Head of Individual, Digital and Public Giving, the intern will specifically be responsible for assisting individual, digital and public giving activities and campaigns for a period of six months.

Marketing and Communication: Support the production of compelling communication and fundraising materials for UN Women National Committees, as well as the development and design of materials for campaigns and events. Support customizing UN Women’s case for support from individuals for UN Women’s global mandate as well as specific country programmes. Supports the development of key messages related to engagements with multi-stakeholder platforms and initiatives for internal and external audiences. Provides inputs and develops content/articles for internal and external audiences.
Planning and Coordination: Support coordination of Individual Giving/National Committees workplans. Activities include coordinating inputs for briefing packages, managing the SharePoint collaboration site, supporting follow-up from PSP/NatComs coordination meetings, managing invitation processes for partner invitations to major events, and other relevant activities.
Knowledge Management: Support management of all documentations along the project implementation process of UN Women National Committees. Provide secretarial and coordination support of office-wide meetings and external meetings.
Others: Assist with special projects as they arise. Participate in weekly Section and team meetings. Additional tasks to complete on request from the Head Individual, Digital and Public Giving Unit.

Interns who are not in receipt of financial support from other sources such as universities or other institutions will receive a stipend from UN Women to partially subsidize their basic living costs for the duration of the internship.
