The impact you will have in this role
MDFA have invested significantly in their Individual Giving program and this year they will be focused on acquisition and the growth of this fundraising stream.
This is an incredibly exciting newly created role, and we are looking for a data driven fundraiser who is looking to step up in their career and manage the development and delivery of multi-channel acquisition and retention programs.
Utilising your direct marketing skills, you will project manage the roll out of appeals end to end and you will manage agency relationships across the program. With an understanding of both acquisition and retention activities, you will be passionate about the donor lifecycle, and you will bring experience of growing revenue and increasing donor lifetime value.

Key Responsibilities
- Support on the development of the Individual Giving strategy across both acquisition and retention
- Oversight and delivery of a multi-channel Individual Giving program (direct mail, EDM, TM, digital)
- Project manage direct mail appeals and newsletter appeals with responsibility for the full campaign timeline
- Manage the data extraction and segmentation across the Individual Giving program and use your data skills to report back on campaign performance
- Utilise data insights to improve individual donor engagement and increase income
- Support the Fundraising Manager in the development of acquisition activities and design communication plans that engage and inspire donors
- Develop multi-channel donor renewal opportunities and ensure tactics are in place to improve retention rates
- Manage and develop opportunities to convert single givers in to regular donors
- Lead on agency relationships and ensure that agency performance is in line with strategies in place
- Contribute to reporting, budgets, and forecasting across Individual Giving
Skills and Experience
- Experience working within an Individual Giving program and an understanding of acquisition and retention strategies
- A background in contributing to multi-channel appeals with experience in direct mail
- An understanding of the donor journey and the ability to create communication plans that attract, engage and maintain donors
- High levels of project management capabilities with the ability to manage the execution of appeals from brief stages through to post appeal reporting
- A creative and strategic approach to fundraising with a background in improving individual donor engagement to increase income
- Data led decision making with high level numeracy skills, able to use data insights to drive growth and provide reporting on performance
- The ability to manage data extraction and segmentation across Individual Giving activity
- High level attention to detail with strong admin skills; able to update and maintain all donor information on the CRM
- Experience in using Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce or a similar CRM
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team, with a collaborative approach to work
- An ambitious, passionate and motivated fundraiser who is inspired by the work of MDFA
