Individual Support Worker – Gosford / Central Coast

Join our Amazing Team of dedicated youth work disability Support Staff, in delivering:

• Practical, strengths-based engagement with young people, to build resilience, confidence, & cultural connections, and prepare for independence;
• Young people with the skills to build their capacity in order to increase wellbeing, knowledge, practice skills and build a sense of self;
• Outreach & community based engagement activities to develop capacity to address youth issues;
• Individualised, tailored supports and group activities for young people across the Central Coast region;
• Creative and innovative approaches that deliver amazing outcomes for the young people we support.

Essential Criteria

All items must be addressed in writing, to be considered for this role

1. Relevant qualifications – minimum Certificate III (Individual Support), or equivalent
2. 2. Ability to articulate how best to deliver support with compassion, innovation, initiative, and in consideration of the rights of the individual
3. 3. Demonstrated experience in community support services for young people with disabilities and/or mental illness with:
4. a. A commitment to quality care and passion for supporting young people in our community
5. b. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
6. 4. Own reliable transport, current drivers licence and comprehensively insured vehicle and an ability to drive a 12-seater mini bus (C-Class licence)
7. 5. Current First Aid Certificate (or proof of enrolment to course)
