Strong Group are working with a medium-sized main contractor with a strong track record of delivering complex projects for prestigious clients. Specialising in groundworks projects within the industrial sectors. The contractor has developed a number of strong relationships with clients across the UK & Ireland due to their exceptional standard of service and quality. Our client is looking for an industrial Estimator to join their expanding organisation on a Full Time office basis.Title: Industrial Estimator Salary: £35,000 – £70,000 (DOE)
Location: Kent Start Date: ASAP
Office BasedAs an Estimator you’ll be in charge of ensuring robust, accurate and innovative advice is delivered to clients to align with contractors needs and the businesses objectives.Key responsibilities for the Industrial Estimator:
- Maintain sub-contract data base
- Maintain material suppliers database
- Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tender
- Take off quantities
- Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
- Prepare and issue material supply enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt
- Complete tender documents for submission
- Prepare specifications and / or Contractors proposals
- Submit tenders and follow up
- Post tender negotiations

-Experience in Industrial projects is essential
-Experience in groundworks advantageous
-Construction experience as an Estimator in the UK
-Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels
-Able to react to constant changing workloads
-Good organisational and communication skills
-A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of their own teams’ performance
-A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity
-Ability to learn and master client specific software
-Ability to deal with large amounts of data accurately and efficiently
-Must be able to drive and flexible to travel to sites as and when requiredIndustrial Estimator Benefits:
