Are you passionate about protecting and enhancing the environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Regulated Industry department.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join the Kent and South London Area Installations team who has working experience of either the Landfill sector or the Biowaste Treatment sector.
You will be responsible for the regulation of activities that come under the Environmental Permitting Regulations. We are looking for people with experience of regulation or industry experience of landfills or biowaste treatment.
Your work will involve:
The team
The post will be based in one of our 2
process industry installations teams which serve Kent and South London. The teams work flexibly
across the Area, regulating sites across a range of industrial sectors including chemicals
manufacturing, power generation, landfill, hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste treatment,
incineration, metal production and metal surface treatment, food and drink, paper and textiles,
Oil/gas and COMAH.
Experience/skills required
We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated and
confident communicator with practical operational experience and understanding of environmental
regulation.
You will be able to demonstrate:

Responding to incidents is a central part of what
we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to
incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an
additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to
support you with your incident role.
The role will be based in Addington, Kent (ME19 5SH). Interviews will be held w/c 8 July 2024.

A full UK driving licence will be required as is flexibility to travel for operational site visits
within the patch. A lease car maybe provided for business travel in line with our travel
policy/alternatively a pool/hire vehicle.
