The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) in association with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation New South Wales Branch (ANMF NSW Branch) seeks an Information and Records Management Assistant to join our Business Services and Compliance team on a permanent full-time basis.

The primary purpose of the Information and Records Management Assistant role, is to support the organisation’s information and records management program, ensuring capture and appropriate management of organisational records throughout the records lifecycle, while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key accountabilities

  • Review, sort, classify and categorise incoming correspondence and other organisational records.
  • Allocate records and information in line with organisational requirements.
  • Ensure records are appropriately stored, accurately maintained and easily accessible for authorised users.
  • Support the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) administration tasks.
  • Support the archiving program by undertaking retention and disposal activities.
  • Assist with publication and subscription management.
  • Support projects aimed at improving information and records management processes and systems.

Key considerations

  • Proficiency in using IRM and business systems and software, including RecFind, O365 and Salesforce.
  • Ability to maintain the accuracy and integrity of records throughout their lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills, and ability to work autonomously in a team environment to drive tasks to completion in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Ability to adapt to change in needs and requirements as necessary.
