Context/Reporting line:

Under the general guidance of the Programme Coordinator, the overall supervision of the National Operations Officer, the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of the Senior Project Assistant, the incumbent will perform the following duties:

 

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Provide timely support in the designing, modifying, and maintaining forms and other components of the

MIS system, ODK forms and other tools relevant to the DS activities.

  1. Assist in developing user manuals and training materials to be distributed to field teams on best practices.
  2. Ensure timely collection and entry of quality and accurate data into various databases on the Management Information System (MIS) on a daily basis covering all activities related to durable solutions, shelter and livelihoods activities and others.
  3. Monitor referrals and follow up in coordination with CRC referral focal points, IOM implementing partners.
  4. Interact with beneficiaries in the community resource center to register data, update information or support referral to partner agencies.
  5. Verify and prepare beneficiaries information packages and documentation for administrative purposes, follow procedures for documents internal validation.
  6. Identify mistakes in information collected and system management, report, and act immediately to solve any issue.
  7. Assist in testing the data collection tools and provide detailed feedback on ways to improve them.
  8. Actively conduct data validation and cross-checking for data received from the field, follow up with teams to ensure complete and up to date information is uploaded and processed.
  9. Perform such other duties as may be required by management of the TRD Northwest Team.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, information technology or related major.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of work experience in a related field, preferably with information management implemented by United Nations or INGO.
  • Experience working for the United Nations, or international non-governmental organization.
  • Good experience in community mobilization and interaction with beneficiaries.
  • Demonstrated gender awareness and gender sensitivity.
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results.
  • Proficiency in office applications, including Word and Excel, internet explorer.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
