The Injury Management & Prevention (IM&P) Business Partner will work as part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) team with prime focus around injury management and prevention activities including Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) education and training.

This position is located in Head Office, however travel to other Yooralla locations is required.

All employees are responsible for:

  • Promoting and protecting the human rights of people with disability, in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) (2008);
  • Working to ensure high-quality and safe supports and services for NDIS participants,
    meeting and exceeding the NDIS Practice Standards and
    Quality Indicators;
  • Meeting obligations under all relevant Victorian and Commonwealth legislation;
  • Working in accordance with the Yooralla Code of Conduct and Employee Manual;
  • Support a risk aware culture by proactively identifying and reporting risk
  • Identify, manage and monitor risks within their area and support a risk aware culture where staff actively identify and report risks.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current VIC Return to Work Coordinator certification
  • International Police Check (if required)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current driver’s licence to drive in Australia

Professional Experience

  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in occupational health and safety, injury prevention, or related fields. With experience in managing psychosocial related injuries.
  • Experience in developing and implementing injury prevention programs and initiatives within an organizational setting.
  • Experience in managing workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Ability to interpret and apply workers compensation legislative standards and compensation insurance schemes as they apply to organisational claims management and rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Experience with accident investigation practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
