This position is full time and based in Brussels.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Funding and Innovation

  • Actively monitor new information related to EU funding programmes, with a particular focus on research and innovation. 
  • Coordinate COCIR activities & positions related to research & innovation funding.
  • Represent COCIR in operational discussions with partner associations and the European Commission.  
  • Ensure information dissemination and internal communication about funding opportunities. 
  • Support COCIR activities related to the Innovative Health Initiative.

Procurement, Deployment, and Investment 

  • Coordinate the broader COCIR positioning and advocacy on health systems resilience and financial sustainability.
  • Advocate for policies supporting the adoption of new technologies, practices and equal patient access to quality healthcare.
  • Contribute to the structured dialogue on the due implementation of the EU HTA Regulation for medical devices.
  • Coordinate with National Trade Associations, other COCIR Committees and the European Medical Technology Developers’ Associations.

Advocacy

  • Prepare high-level meetings with external stakeholders and public events. 
  • Prepare communication documents such as newsletters, press releases etc.

Profile

  • Passionate about healthcare, specifically the medical technology sector. 
  • Highly organized, with high attention to detail; project management experience would be an asset. 
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate complex legal and technical issues.
  • Previous experience related to public funding of research & innovation, ideally related to healthcare. 
  • Understand the environment of the European institutions
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • Relevant work experience of at least 3 years.  
  • Fluent in English and at least one other EU language.
  • Team player with excellent networking skills.
  • Previous experience in a trade association is of added value.
