OverviewAs a Lead Development Representative at Waters Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and qualifying prospective leads within target markets. Applying your expertise in lead generation and proactive outreach, you will engage with potential customers to understand their needs and nurture relationships to facilitate the transition of leads to the sales pipeline. A successful candidate would be fluent in English and German or another European language in order to assist in pipeline building across the EMEA region.Responsibilities
- Qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) using a structured sales cadence and perform an evaluation of lead criteria, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and target markets
- Conduct discovery calls with leads to understand their challenges, requirements and objectives
- Initiate proactive outreach to prospective leads for targeted projects, leveraging cold calls, email, social media engagement and other communication channels to generate interest and identify opportunities
- Research and gather information on accounts and key decision makers to tailor outreach efforts and messaging effectively for maximum impact
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute lead generation strategies aligned with business objectives and target markets
- Utilise and maintain Salesforce data to track and manage lead interactions, update lead status and ensure accurate reporting
- Provide regular updates and insights to sales and marketing teams on lead quality, trends and opportunities identified during the lead qualification process

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or related field.
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and German OR another European language
- Proven experience in telesales, business development, or sales role, preferably within the scientific industry.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to effectively communicate with leads to uncover their challenges, needs, and objectives through active listening, probing questions, and clear articulation of solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets and objectives.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and lead management tools.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
