WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the WHS Commissioner. Here at WorkSafe ACT we are proud of the work we do and are committed to improving the physical and psychosocial health and safety of Territory workers.
We have several permanent vacancies for suitably skilled professionals to fill the role of Inspector within our Compliance and Enforcement Branch. The Compliance and Enforce Branch is primarily responsible for conducting inspections and workplace visits across a range of ACT workplaces to ensure duty holders meet their statutory obligations to provide a safe workplace without risks to employees’ health and safety.
In this exciting role you will assist the Senior Inspectors to undertake a variety of important functions such as promoting WHS through providing advice, information and assistance, and other compliance and enforcement activities. You will provide administrative support to the branch, including records management functions, to ensure the agency continues to operate at a high level. You may also find yourself participating in proactive programs and campaigns, liaising with industry stakeholders, unions, workers, and the general public, or undertaking inspections.

Notes:
A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
