SBH Health System, is a 400+ Acute Care Hospital in central
Bronx, New York. As an academic system, SBH is affiliated with the
CUNY School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, supporting FQHC primary care centers, faculty practice
sites, and an on-campus Ambulatory Care Center. The Office
Institutional Advancement (Development) is recruiting for a
full-time, Institutional Advancement Associate (Development) to
join the Executive Division.
SBH Health System seeks an exceptional development support
professional to join the Office of Institutional Advancement
(Development). The Advancement Associate is key to the
effectiveness and smooth functioning of the department and will
have primary responsibility for supporting events, developing
prospect leads through prospect research, scheduling donor
meetings, donor material development and distribution, and other
administrative duties. This is a great opportunity to work with

transformational donors.
Position reports to:
Vice President & Chief Advancement Officer of
Advancement
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Support the Office of Advancement’s comprehensive donor
programs to raise funds for SBH Health System - Provide all support for Advancement events.
- Provide administrative support (e.g. scheduling internal
meetings, donor meetings, maintain calendar, prepare and coordinate
materials, agendas for meetings, etc.) - Compose and proofread proposals, case for support, program
summaries, talking points, briefings, personalized donor
acknowledgments as well as other correspondence as directed. - Draft correspondence, and prepare/coordinate in house mailings
to managed prospect portfolios - Oversee and manage purchase orders, invoices and other expenses
for Advancement (fundraising). - Raisers Edge Prospect/Portfolio Management: Update and maintain
all moves management information related to managed portfolios as
well as prospect base including entering contact reports, adding
and updating proposals, entering future/anticipated actions,
maintaining all data/coding related to the several reports most
frequently used in tracking and measuring donor moves
management. - Field and respond to external donor related phone and email
inquiries. - Assist with scheduling and coordinating logistics related to
donor cultivation and stewardship events - Foster positive and professional working relationships with all
staff. - Assist with special projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree required
- 4 years’ work experience, preferably working in an office
setting, in development, public relations or marketing
Minimum Computer
Skills:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment
- Ability to learn fund-raising database; Raiser’s Edge
experience preferred
