Position Title Instructional Technologist – Multimedia Production
Position Status Full-Time

Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary Reporting to the Lead Instructional Technologist, the Instructional Technologist – Multimedia Production is responsible for implementing services that support faculty in the creation and utilization of new multimedia and emerging technologies in the curriculum.
Responsibilities Responsible to model the University’s Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s essential purposes as a Catholic and Lasallian institution of higher education.
-Deliver training on instructional multimedia production including composing, videotaping, and editing
-Facilitate implementation of instructional media innovations
-Provide support to faculty in the use of educational technology in online, blended, and LMS enhanced face-to-face courses
-Assist in the planning and publishing of instructional materials and user guides
-Communicate with faculty on an ongoing basis regarding the availability and use of instructional technologies
-Assist with design and structure of online, blended and web-supported courses
-Create tutorials to assist faculty and students in acquiring proficiency in academic technologies.
-Develop and support multimedia production including composing, videotaping, and editing.
-Collaborate with colleagues within the Faculty Center on various projects
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
-Consult with and advise faculty in effective use of instructional media and technology.
-Deliver training on instructional multimedia hardware and editing software.
-Assist in the planning and publishing of instructional materials and user guides.
-Provide support and resolve educational technology issues in collaboration with other staff members.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in a digital media related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience in academic technology.
-Must be self-motivated and possess the ability and willingness to learn new technology
-Ability to complete projects independently, consistently meeting specified expectations and deadlines.
-Must have excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
-Experience with PC’s and Mac’s as well as a wide variety of multimedia software applications such as Adobe Premier, After Effects, and similar applications.
-Ability to identify and resolve technology issues related to Learning Management Systems.
-Knowledge/experience with Blackboard Learn Original and Ultra preferred.
